Winter is still hanging on here in Minnesota (although it is raining today, making giant icy slush piles. A couple weeks ago, I took advantage of the piles of snow still around to make a snow castle. Basically, I piled up a huge pile of snow and compacted it together to form the snow mountain base. The towers were made using a plastic pitcher, plastic cup, and a glass cone-shaped cup (meant for dip, I think? a plastic funnel would work here). The tower windows were carved out with a melon-baller and the end of a spoon. I dyed some water blue with food coloring and poured and sprayed it all over the moat (and sprayed some on the castle, using and old spray bottle.)
