This and That

Here are two vintage doll heads I bought at a thrift store last week. They are labeled Made in Japan and I'm guessing they are from the 60's or 70's.

I checked this book out of the library last week. There are a lot of good ideas and it is generally pretty inspiring. The photos of the finished projects are gorgeous. I have plans to dabble in some screenprinting this summer.

Pictured above are my herbs for the little herb garden I've started in the landing of my duplex's stairwell. I can't have them in the apartment because the cats tend to eat all of the delicious, tender shoots and leaves. That doesn't work so well because, well, I want to eat these delicious herbs. I'm hoping that between my weekly CSA box (starting in two weeks - yeah!) and these herbs, I will only need to buy some meat and a few staples this summer (like peanut butter cups and Diet Coke).

Nothing is tastier than peanut butter cups, diet coke, and basil smoothies.
